Some Images From An Awesome Guest Photographer
A few days ago, I promised some images from a guest photographer, and I’m ready to deliver.
Meet Ethan.

You may remember him from the session I did with his family a few months ago Well, when I got to their house for their session, Ethan had his camera ready too. He had a lot of good ideas for shots of his own, and even did a little “second shooting” with me for awhile. I really wish I would have gotten him to take a couple of shots of me while I was there. I could use one for my bio page.
So…without further ado, I would like to share with you, a few images from a very promising, young photographer….
This is his sister, Emma and his dog, Gillian…

A self-portrait, of course………

And this next shot is pretty cool, because Ethan and I were actually shooting together for this one. Here is his view……

And here is mine……

Thank you so much for sharing some of your shots with me, Ethan. Maybe someday, I’ll be second shooting for you!
And Now For Something Completely Different….
Bonus points (and my respect
) to anyone who knows what the title is from.
It has been awfully quiet around the old blog, here, lately, I know. It is not intentional. Life sometimes has a way of overpowering even the best of intentions. It was mentioned to me on more than one occasion, that this blog could stand to have a little more of my personality, my voice, show through. For several years I had a personal blog that I kept, that was a lot easier to write. I didn’t have to walk the fine line between too professional and too personal. This blog is a bit different and I am still finding my way. I am going to break from the norm and give a small peek into the more personal side of Melodee Tonti Photography.
My favorite color is brown, and if I could only eat one foood for the rest of my life, it would probably be ice cream. I hate most commercials, people who stand too close when they talk to you, and when the underwire in my bra pokes into me. Wait, wait…that is not the kind of personal stuff I was talking about sharing…..although it is all true. What I meant to share was this…..
This is my son, Matthew…

Matthew is funny, intelligent, and energetic.

He tells made up jokes, and laughs at anything fart related.
He likes cats, and wants to be a pilot.

Matthew has Asperger’s Syndrome.

Asperger’s Syndrome is on the autistic spectrum. You can read more about it by clicking here. Aside from the daily challenges that living with Asperger’s Syndrome can bring, Matthew also goes through patches where times are rougher for him than others. Sometimes they are really rough. We are right in the middle of one of those times at the moment. Getting to this blog is just something that has had to be put on the back burner. I will be back to posting regularly again very soon, as I have sneak peeks that will be ready to share…But! In the mean time, in the next day or two, I will have some images from an awesome guest to share with you, so check back for that!

“So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.”- Luke 2:16-20

We have cookies to make and decorate for Santa, hot chocolate to drink, and How the Grinch Stole Christmas to watch. We are tracking Santa here, so we will be ready.

Have a very Merry Christmas everyone!

Extraordinary Ordinary
I’m by no means a very good landscape/nature photographer, but I was standing outside watching my kids play tonight, and the sky looked like this. Of course I had to grab my camera. At one point, everything had a beautiful pink glow. All of these pictures are SOOC, I did nothing at all but convert them from RAW to .jpgs.
The moon, with a cool pink cloud in front of it.
Under the Weather
If you are here looking for your sneak peek from this weekend, I am working it on right now. It seems I picked up some cooties over the weekend, and feel like I got run over by a truck. A small truck, not like a semi or anything, but still. I will have your sneak peeks up ASAP!
I Saw The Light
So I dragged my daughter to Dos Lagos to help me check out what the light is like in the evenings….making sure we’re all set for the mini-sessions fundraiser. Thank you to everyone who booked a session. I am excited to meet you all. If you are a procrastinator, like me, it’s not too late. We still have 2 session spots available on Saturday evening, one at 5:00 and one at 5:45. The evening sessions are going to be benefiting from some lovely light…..

Oh, the agony of being the child of a photographer….Just one more shot please? Okay, now how about over here? She was a little over it. Oh well.

Not everyone gets as excited about beautiful light as I do, I guess. But would you please take a look at the sky as we were leaving?…….

Ahhhhhh. See? Light is good.
